Stationed in Salford‘s busy centre, a local coffee bar is going viral. Famous for exceptional service and rich beverages, what else is there to discover about Tangerine?

Below Salford’s central station, the Tangerine bar is located. Decorated in a vintage fashion, the venue provides up to 177 seats and 300 standing spaces. Perfect for a lunch coffee or a night out in Manchester, it is allocated for many events. 

Tangerine’s signature colour is orange, hinting at the purpose of its name. Iconically, the 70s inspired appearance attracts individuals of all ages. From orange lighting to retro television’s all around, each corner of Tangerine is decorated intently. This is only one part of the bar’s increasing popularity. 

What food delicacies does Tangerine offer?

Tangerine offers a wide selection. A part of the canteen’s collection is named ‘Gold Boy’. From bustling burgers coated in sauce, to toppings, these dishes are famous in Salford. Alongside this, the bar’s beefy fries and caesar salads are available to order.

On Tangerine’s menu, there is a Japanese-inspired food section. The menu includes a variety of meats like: chicken thighs, sensational steaks, pork and lamb. Other sides are available, such as fries and their famous smacked cucumber dishes. Many Mancunians have raved about Tangerine’s meals.

Joji is another branch of Tangerine. Described as a “modern Japanese food”, there are a variety of contemporary options available. Boneless wings, ramen to endless sushi varieties, Joji is never short for choices.

Most famously, Tangerine is known for their pizzas. Popular options like: pepperoni, sausage and mushroom pizzas are ideal for a night out. With vegan and vegetarian choices, there is something for everyone at Tangerine.  

What beverages are available?

Additionally, Tangerine’s alcohol bar is soaring in popularity. With a wide range of wines, vodkas and cocktails, there are limitless drink choices available. Moreover, the menu includes many espresso beverages and spritz options.

During daylight hours, the coffee branch of Tangerine is favoured for their infinite beverages. Named ‘Clement Coffee’, the bar carefully creates their coffees with intention and precision. From diverse drinks like cortados, Clement Coffee also offers traditional beverages like: lattes, cappuccinos and the famous flatwhites. On weekdays, the coffee bar is open from 7am and on weekends open from 8am. 

What plans are occurring at Tangerine?

In the week, Tangerine hosts many activities. This strengthens the nightlife and community in Greater Manchester, through initiating human connections. On Wednesday, the bar is organising a major music night. Named “Arthouse Music Hall”, it is a relaxed setting, where individuals can enjoy music.  

Excitingly, Thursday’s event involves live bands. Titled “Amplify Live”, real and raw performances are shown at Tangerine’s stage. This unites people together, through food, drink and most importantly, music. Currently Friday’s evening event is called “Music Hall Live.” This night features prominent performers.

Although on the weekend, Tangerine hosts more dynamic events. Saturday night is named “You Will Dance” and Sunday night is titled “Jazzamatic”. The events feature DJs and encourage individuals to move with the music.

On the whole, cafes and bars are growing across the UK. However, with Tangerine’s clever ways, they have created a unique; individual hub in Salford. Located on 13-17 New Bailey Street, Manchester, they continue to flourish from Manchester’s night life.
