What is Holly’s Kit Design?

The central element of Holly’s Kit shirt showcases a creative combination of Ws symbolising the Wigan Warriors, integrated with the Derian House Children’s Hospice logo and an image of Rugby Playing Derian House Warrior ‘Danni’ positioned on the bottom right. As detailed in the official announcement from the Wigan Warriors website, the kit adopts Derian House’s distinctive green, black, and white colourway, blending team pride with charitable symbolism.

Front sponsors feature Greenmount Projects prominently, alongside Smalley Painters and Decorators on the breast, the iconic Kappa Omni logo, and the Wigan Warriors club badge. KHD Brokk Hire Ltd appears on both collars, while Team Wigan and CRS grace the sleeves. On the rear, Davanti Tyres and Procare logos are displayed, with replica shorts carrying Westwood Motor Group, Fase Group Ltd, LCS Civils, and FBW Engineering Ltd, and socks bearing Pall Mall Carpets’ logo.

This design not only supports fundraising but also amplifies visibility for Derian House across the rugby community.

When and How Was Holly’s Kit Launched?

Holly’s Kit was first teased at the Wigan Warriors Pre-Season Dinner last Friday evening, 30 January 2026, where it was announced alongside Holly’s family and a moving video recounting her story, as reported on the club’s blog. Pre-orders opened immediately online, with shirts withheld from view to emphasise trust in the cause rather than aesthetics.

The official full reveal occurred today, 6 February 2026, confirming the kit’s design and rapid sell-out response. As stated on the Wigan Warriors site, “After a fantastic response since last week’s launch, we are extremely pleased to report that only a small number of shirts remain”.

Pre-ordered shirts are now being dispatched, underscoring the high demand.

What Are the Prices and Sizes for Holly’s Kit?

Kits cater to all ages, from 0-12 months mini-kits to 8XL adult sizes. Adult shirts are priced at £55, junior shirts at £40, and mini-kits—including shorts and socks—at £45, with £5 per sale donated directly to Derian House.

Who is Derian House Children’s Hospice?

Derian House Children’s Hospice, opened on 11 October 1993, delivers respite and end-of-life care to over 400 babies, children, young people, and their families across the North West annually. Services are free to families but cost £6 million yearly to operate, with less than 30% funded by government.

Care extends to individuals up to their 26th birthday, encompassing palliative care, respite stays, day care, holidays, and end-of-life support, plus transition aid until age 28 for community networks.

What is Holly’s Story?

Holly, who would have turned six, battled cancer three times due to rare Bloom Syndrome, passing in April after Derian House care. As recounted by her mother Jenny on the Derian House website, Holly—sister to Evie (11) and Jack (nearly 9)—faced Wilms’ Tumour at age four, achieved remission, relapsing in 2021 and fatally around her lungs.

Jenny described cherished memories: family holidays, school at Hindley Green Primary, cinema trips at the hospice watching Trolls, playground swings, her red hair, smile, dancing, “super-duper hugs,” and final days with dog Poppy and Sunflower Room rest.

What Do Leaders Say About the Launch?

As reported by Wigan Warriors blog staff, Derian House Chief Executive Karen Edwards OBE stated: “The decision to keep the kit under wraps sends a powerful message. Every family we support has their own story, but what they all share is courage — courage from children, parents and siblings facing situations no one ever expects.” She added: “While Derian House delivers the care, it’s the strength of the community that makes that care possible. By asking fans to buy this kit unseen, Wigan Warriors are inviting people to stand with our families, not because of how something looks, but because of what it represents. This partnership is a shared commitment — to raising awareness for families who are often unseen, to supporting children who deserve the very best care, and to making sure no family feels alone at the hardest moments of their lives”.

Wigan Warriors Chief Executive Kris Radlinski MBE commented: “This club has always been about more than rugby. Asking our supporters to buy the kit without seeing it is about trust, values and community — and backing a charity that does extraordinary work for families across our town and region”.

What Support Will Wigan Warriors Provide in 2026?

In 2026, Wigan Warriors commit to Derian House via the Charity Third Kit (Holly’s Kit), Match Takeovers, and season-long fundraising drives, as outlined in their partnership announcement.

Kappa, partners since 2024, produce bespoke kits; Chief Executive Kris Radlinski MBE noted their collaborative design process earlier.

This initiative fosters community spirit, with Holly’s Kit as its centrepiece, available now amid dwindling stock.
