Manchester (Manchester Mirror) May 07 2026-  Currently, the Trafford Centre has upcoming plans for 2026 with newer stores and developments around the surroundings. From prestigious clothing brands, to food places, advancements are scheduled to the inside of the building. Alongside this, a resort is underdevelopment near the shopping centre and is expected to house the UK’s biggest spa.

Which stores have recently been added in 2025?

In the last year, Trafford Centre has opened its doors to Manchester City. Opened on Friday 21st November 2025, city stars like Paul Dickov and Mike Summerbee were present for the welcoming. The new celebrated city store is situated at Peer Avenue on the bottom floor and gifted the first 50 visitors merchandise. These ranged from a Gianluigi Donnarumma autographed poster and a PUMA football. Many football fans were delighted with the convenience of the location. 

Director of Retail and Licensing at Manchester City, Serena Gosling, has stated about the latest opening,

“We’re proud to reveal our latest City store in the iconic Trafford Centre, Manchester.” 

The 13th HARIBO shop was welcomed to Trafford Centre, on 5th December 2025. In time of the festive period, HARIBO followers were in luck for the scheduled opening of the store. The famous mascot, Goldbear was present and handed 75 customers freebies, where many shoppers were thrilled with the surprise. 2025 was a significant year for the company, as it marked 3 store releases in the UK. 

The Centre Director at Trafford Centre, Simon Layton has noted

“We’re excited to welcome HARIBO to Trafford Centre, just in time for Christmas.”

On Black Friday in November 2025, the emerging Scandinavian food chain welcomed Joe & The Juice. Known for their healthy menu and popular beverages, the drink place is located in the Upper Dome. Recently, Joe & The Juice have released the matcha selection, which has marvelled customers.

What are Trafford Centres plans in 2026?

The renowned clothing brand GARAGE is expected to be open later this year. The Canadian brand is largely known for its accessories and active clothing range. GARAGE has been active for the last 50 years, however Gen Z have previously frenzied over their pieces.    Another GARAGE store is preparing for its Manchester Arndale arrival. 

In the summer, the shopping centre has lately announced the entry of Dave’s Hot Chicken. Famously, it is supported and pioneered by the Canadian rapper, Drake. The American food chain provides the notorious Nashville chicken. Dave’s Hot Chicken following has increased worldwide with 300 stores globally. Near Manchester City centre, it welcomed the restaurant in August.

The Trafford Centre’s official facebook page announced the excitement,

“We’re excited to announce that @Dave’s Hot Chicken will soon be joining our line-up of delicious dining spots.”

Another addition is the new and long-awaited Lindt store. The confectionary chain will have a vast pick n mix store and other special features. This is following on from a successful history at Manchester Arndale, as the boutique celebrated the ten year anniversary there. Lindt’s followers are preparing for its official opening.

Lindt’s LinkedIn account has stated about the upcoming store in a post

“We are thrilled to announce the upcoming opening of our 30th Lindt Retail Store in the UK located at the Trafford Centre, Manchester!”

UNIQLO’s second Manchester store is in the planning. Scheduled to be opened in Autumn 2026, the clothing brand is steadily growing across the UK. The Japanese fashion brand is known for its minimalism style and versatile clothing. Presently, there are 24 UNIQLO shops across the country. Trafford Centre is expected to be a successful spot for the company. 

 What are the plans for the upcoming resort?

The surrounding area of the Trafford Centre is under development. Since early 2020, the upcoming resort has been planned and under construction. The Trafford Centre council announced the scheme in 2020, for the named ‘Therme Park’ . By 2028, the resort will provide luxury features like water slides, pools and saunas. Therme Park is expected to own the UK’s largest spa. 

Alongside this, it will advocate for personal wellbeing and health.’Therme Park’ will have gardens, beehives and virtual art areas. The project is predicted to cost around £500 million and be around 28 acres in size. Therme is famous for its popularity in Europe. In Germany and Bucharest, Therme receives around 3.5 million visitors annually, proving the company’s success. This is envisioned to boost the UK and Greater Manchester’s economy altogether. 

Future of the Trafford Centre

In the last few decades, Trafford has become a hot spot for free time and entertainment. From the local sports grounds, the shopping centre and the developing water resort, the area is expected to prosper. As the Trafford Centre adds trending shops, various plans are always being planned to accommodate shoppers.
